Modelling Engineer / Scientist

Oxford PV are now recruiting for this new position in their Test & Reliability team

  • Responsibility for maintaining the company’s R&D computer modelling effort, used to instruct experimental design in the development of multiple aspects of our silicon-perovskite tandem technology. Likely techniques include but are not necessarily limited to:
    • Drift-diffusion
    • Transfer matrix
    • PV energy yield evaluation
    • Finite element analysis
    • Density functional theory
    • Process modelling
  • Development of in-house code, including experimental validation.
  • Identification and implementation of new modelling priorities, including where this is best implemented using external resources.
  • Liaising with external model vendors, evaluation of third-party models.
Qualifications and experience
  • Advanced degree qualified with specialist knowledge in numerical methods, preferably PhD qualified.
  • Expert in photovoltaic device physics.
  • Highly experienced in creating custom optoelectronic models, preferably with a PV focus.
  • Experience of overseeing modelling activity run at third parties or as part of collaborative project work.
  • Experience of planning and running experimental work including the associated data analysis for model validation.

Salary commensurate with experience.
